The weather did not cooperate today for them to go to the range to shoot clays. So I went and borrowed the grandson's thrower and set it up just inside the shed doors facing the hay field. Everything dry but the clays. LOL The wife said it was easier to hit the clays that way so she shot fewer rounds than the grand daughters. She spent most of the time working with them to improve their skills/stance.

She did take time to show them some "trick" shooting as well. The "new" shotguns have extended 10 round magazines on them. She can throw a small metal bucket up in the air and keep it in the air for all ten shots. The last shots are harder as the bucket is further away since each shot pushes it away some. She can also eject an empty shell and shot it before it hits the ground. She can do that as long as she has ammo. She also can hand throw a stack of clays and shoot them while they are still in the air. She got up to four today but could not get five without missing the last clay before it hit the ground.

They all had fun. I guess the shotguns are broken in now. They shot over 500 rounds today. They saved the shells. They are going to reload them this week at my brother's as he has the dies for 20 gauge.

PS My wife called my buddy that sold me the guns. She told him that one of them was not "right" as it "felt" different to her when she pumped the action. He came over and found out there was a burr on the one slide. He polished it out and "tuned" them both to the wife satisfaction. He nor I could "feel" anything out but she could. LOL He did had throw some stacks of clays for her. He can throw six high enough she could get them all. It makes my shoulders hurt just watching them hand throw them.

My Dad said that he had a brother in law that could shoot the empty .22 shell before it hit the ground. I believe it, but I am too cheap to buy enough shells to get that good.
