Gear box Seal

My flail mower manufacture is no longer in business. I am looking for a seal for the gear box. I usually have good luck just typing in the seal number on the net. This time I can't find anything. Thinking someone might have a better source. It is a National 50189 S54 Don't know what the S54 means. Thanks for any help. Stan

Go to Baum hydraulics .com if they don't have it I'll be surprised . If you have a hydraulic shop or industrial parts supplier they can measure it and match it up

Is it 1-1/8 ID and 1-3/4 OD? I got good results ignoring the suffix.

I needed a seal for a pump dealer wanted 65 bucks
so I measured it up and called my local hydraulic shop
OD, ID and thickness
got it and a back up one for less than 5 bucks taxes included
could hold both in one hand closed and still have room for more
I measured the shaft then the outer housing then the depth of the seal
was all metric but they also come in SAE sizes as well

You could just go to a National or Timken seal dealer and buy a 50189 seal. Or check out the cross reference linked below.
Just click on one of the numbers in BLUE for dimensioins.

Go to websites for NAPA, Orielly, AutoZone, etc. and put that number in the search box.
