Florida Flywheelers shows 2017

My wife and I have decided to get out of NY next winter for a week. We have snowbird friends in Florida we can stay with. It will be either the January show or the February show. Just wondering which show you would recommend.

I believe the February show is the big one! I had gone some years back. It is a must see and to be put on everyones bucket list. Golf cart traffic is bad!

Try and make the February show. Feature tractor is Oliver. Let me know if your coming so you can have lunch with us. My brother and I cook every day during the show. You might think about renting a golf cart as it is hard to see all of it in one day or let you use one of ours for a few hours. We usually have a YT get together on one of the days

I started going there even before I retired back in the nineties, and now go twice and may start all 3 shows next year as an exhibitor. Of course, if you're only going to one show MAKE IT FEBRUARY. I advise first timers to spend at least 2 better 3 days and to SPEND AT LEAST ONE ENTIRE DAY STRICTLY IN THE VILLAGE (that's far West Main St.). There are several nice buildings, garages, shops, and exhibits in the Village and you just cant see it (Village) all in one day. Then the other day or two you can drive through the Exhibit grounds and fleas all on the East side of the grounds. The village day you could get by without a golf cart but to get through the East side and fleas its miles and miles, 76 rows and if each were say only 1/8 mile long, that would still be 9 1/2 miles.

I will prob be exhibiting in or around Row 74 far Northwest corner of exhibit field. Stop n say howdy.

Feb. is the big show. I was there in 2006 when oliver was the feature tractor. I have a super 77 running on lp gas. Next feb. will bring my 880 puller running on propane with a turbo

I don't think the golf cart traffic is so bad as they made the rows one way a few years ago. It used to be a mess before that. It is a really great show and you should see it if you are down here. Don't miss the Model T Ford show. They put that thing all to gather in 3 or 4 minutes and drive it away. Real interesting to watch as is all of the show. Food is good also. The rent on a golf cart is way too high. I only live 45 miles from the show so I take my own cart. Still it is great place. The SNOW engine is really something to see. I have been going to it for a lot of years. When they started out they just had a few engines under an Oak tree. Look at how far they have come. ...Jack
