Finally nearing completion of washing the maple sap buckets. I have about 250 left to wash tomarrow morning and I'm done for 2016. We will take them up and store them at the farm this summer, rather than the sugar house, because we are rebuilding the place to accept the new to us, evaporator we purchased last month. We have to pour new concrete floors, and rework all the steam ventilation system, and relocate the smoke stack and do some other roof work.
I also have to deal with about 125 buckets that leak and need repairs. that will eat up another day sometime in the future after I get some other spring work around the house done.
I also have to get my Case 931 finished by mid May for a show.
Never a dull moment around here.
