I am trying to rewire a tractor using a Delco 10DN 12 V alternator and voltage regulator. Horses ate all the old wiring. The tractor is a MH 33 but I don't think that really matters, since it originally had a 6V generator. I have the alternator, VR, amp gauge, a key switch, light switch, resistor for the coil, and another toggle switch mounted on the dash that I don't know what its for.
The VR is labeled F,2,3,4. There is also a terminal on the side with a capacitor attached.
The alternator has the plug labeled F and R, and the batt and ground posts.
Does anyone have a schematic for this type system? Or could help describe what's happening (or should be happening)?
