morning all, have a jd 5300 4x4 I need a FEL for it, I found a jd 400-cx for sale but I need to find out if it will fit my tractor. Also I have found other loaders I might be interested is there a site that has a chart as to what will fit what thanks bob

I'm thinking you will need one that starts with 500 series. My 5105 IIRC has a 520 loader on it. When buying a used loader be very careful as to what it came off of so you get all the correct brackets. Missing parts won't be cheap and anymore this stuff gets obsoleted pretty fast. A JD dealer should be able to look back in some old sales manuals and tell what you need. Is your tractor equipped with the mid mounted SCV now ? Won't be cheap but might be better off to get a complete package all new for your machine.
One thing I've noticed is these tractors are so much more unstable with a loader than older tractors with loaders I have ran. Must be the short wheel base ,light weight and narrow width ? Make sure you get plenty of counter weight. Plus they lift a lot. Mine will easily lift 3000 lbs. to full height.

Your JD 5300 4x4 needs a JD 540 or 541 loader. They have a higher arch to clear the front tires. The JD 520 and 521 loader are the 2wd tractors loaders. The JD 400CX is for a compact utility tractors.

ok thanks everyone, jacksun65 I will look it up but that's a far piece form central mo. thanks again bob

jacksun65 what town was that loader listed under I tryied searching but I failed thanks again bob

Tipp City is just a short distance north of Dayton, Oh. so is probably listed under Dayton. Might be under Richmond or Indianopolis, In or could be Columbus, Oh or even but doughtfull Lima-Findlay Ohio and that is my home area. A lot of items are posted on 2 adjoining lists.
