Flax seeding

Hello,

Do any of you grow flax? If so, what drill do you seed with and how do you set the drill?

Thanks

Ron

I haven't grown it for a few years, but I seeded it with discers quite shallow, 50 lbs. per acre. It turned out decent but harvest can be hard on the disposition.

We seeded flax using JD 750 drills, as they do well seeding into standing flax or wheat straw. We harvest flax with Shelbourne Reynolds stripper headers. The stripper header leaves all the flax straw standing in the field. With no flax straw to wrap on everything or need to be disposed of, flax harvest is much easier on the operators disposition and the combine.:)
