Tractor lineage?

At the Tulare tractor show this past weekend and came across a power horse tractor. However I would swear it had an allis Chalmers grill, hood and gas tank. We're they related in any way?

Nope, not related in any way. As I recall, the Power Horse tractor used a Chrysler Industrial engine. Someone just adapted an AZ engine to fit the Power Horse drive train.

Just think what a tractor that could have been if the wheel base was just stretched out 2 or 3 feet and give a operators platform .

On pages 71-72 0f Norm Swinford's book, the model "H" is described. It was built in Utah using the AC power plant prior to WWII. AC took over development, but didn't continue with it.

The original Power Horse was a line drive and used the Allis B-125 engine till Allis bought the rights to it. After AC abandoned it, another company started making them with Chrysler engines.
