Well the 15th has come and gone. Went to Neuroligest yesterday. Went well, had to answer a bunch of ??? related to the last 50+ years from Dr. Lab needed 7 samples of blood to check,no results yet. Have to go back again on the 22nd for more tests. Dr says that this has been comeing on for many yrs. Said that I am strong for the tests that he performed.

Trying to find good pr.of work shoes-boots now but that is not easy to do for me as I hate doing that let alone breaking them in. What kind of shoe-boot do you others wear that has this problem ? I have been wearing the Sketcher 76690 shoe.

Just letting all know.

I am diabetic and have neuropathy.

I have been pleased with the footwear product from Dr Comfort

i recommend the Dr. Comfort Diabetic Extra Roomy Socks because even everyday type socks cut off circulation to the feet aggravating the pain especially at night.

I do not care for their slippers. Tend to slip off and because of the nerve damage you don't notice right away.[/url]

cuby,

Thanks for the update. It sounds like you are well on your way to some relief. I don't have any real recommendations for work boots. I just use regular old Schmidt work boots that I get at TSC, but I also use Sketchers when I'm not doing anything that requires hard soles. They are comfortable and sturdy enough for most work.

Good luck. Keep pressing forward and don't take any answers from the doctor along the lines of "well, you'll just have to live with it".

I would recommend Redwing shoes. They have a lot of different sizes and styles to fit you needs. I wear a 15B and could never find that till I went to Redwing. I never thought the break in was too bad but maybe that's cause they last so long I don't think about it.

Check out Rebuildermedical.com. I have neuropathy as result of lyme disease and their devices have given me quite a bit of relief. It is not a cure, but I find that I have to use it less often.

wife has neuropthy from chemo for breast cancer. She has the sketchers with the thick rounded soles , Think they call them walkabouts. She says they are a lot better the regular shoes.
