I just saw an article on Hemmings site that Motorcraft is marketing oil in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. It has a little plastic spout at the bottom. They look like the milk from the military chow hall.6 gallons a box.

Remember Moms Mabley saying that being with an old man was like trying to push a car up a hill with a rope? I think the same thing applies here.

If the bottle of a oil container is 5% of the weight of the oil inside, and the bag in a box is 1% the waste of petroleum is clearly 4 %. Cardboard is recyclable, oil containers are generally not due to residual oil in the Waste stream. Jim

Ah, "bag and box" systems.....first milk, then wine.....now oil,
it must be the wave of the future.

I always dump the drain pan back into the empty container, what then? That milk sure tasted good from the mess hall, I always got 2 glasses at a time and usually went back for more.

When we built our home in 2012 in Al. the drywall mud was no longer in plastic buckets but in plastic lined boxes as well. Those plastic buckets are now hard to come by unless purchased at Lowe's.

Six Gallons to the box??? That would be a little bit heavy for these old arms and shoulders.

My thoughts exactly! And it's hard enough to pour a 5 gallon pail which has a handle, I can't picture hanging onto a box o oil up on top of a semi tractor or excavator. And most of all, what will we store parts in, carry tools in, cover exhaust stacks with! The wineos can keep the bag in a box thing!
