My friend Jim bought this at an auction for 2 dollars

Older cast iron block Briggs? They used that carb for a long time. I have generators with it from 1956 to 1985. Only thing you do is screw out the main jet needle till it runs correctly. Just make sure you remove the main jet FIRST. Then you can take the rest of the carb. apart. Don't forget to replace the paper gasket in side the top and bottom halfs. It warps and then the float gets stuck. THat is a super dupper muffler. "Quiet run". Nice buy!
 
That is sweet ! I didn't do quite that good but picked
up this bad boy for 200 bucks last fall 15 cfm at 90
psi single cylinder diesel starts on the first pull down
to 0

I got pretty lucky, I got this Honda em 5000sx for
$300 in 2003, it's been great when I need it.

You have to love those old easy spin Briggs. We had one about the same size in the milkhouse
that was plumbed in to the main. It would run the furnace blower, the well pump, and the fridge but
not all at the same time. I couldn't wait for a snowstorm after we got it. We were living the high life.

I've got one just like it!! I haven't had it running in years. Dad bought it at an auction about 25 years ago and it was used then so I don't know how old it is.
