There's a guy here in town I know asked if I wanted to put sweetcorn on part of his 5 acres of unused pasture. Thinking maybe another acre just so I can keep fresh sweet corn up to Labor Day weekend. I'd have about 2 acres total between my place and his. What would be a fair arrangement on something like that? I'd do the lions share of work. His kids may help pick and sell corn along the road and farmers markets.

Do it on shares, 50/50, you will want to fertilize it good after being in pasture.

You pay all expences,do all the work. Give him all the corn he can eat,and let his kids have some to sell.

Keep it simple. Give him $50 bucks and corn for his immediate family.

Sounds like a fun project. But to be realistic, expect to

put up with deer or raccoons.

I got a few acres around
me I plant pumpkins on
for my fall road stand. I
plow their gardens and
snow in the winter. Help
them when needed. No rent
though.
