Adirondack case guy

I think the last that I posted, we had just fired the newly rebuilt engine in the tractor, and it runs great.
Since then as time permitted, I have been working on modifications to the cab. It only had a single door entry. It now has 2 door entry. I also got the front and rear roof extensions fabed for new lighting, and got one of the two new entry steps designed and fabed. All the components for the second step are fabed and will be welded together tomarrow, if we don't have to gather maple sap. The old entry steps were more like a ladder. The new steps are much easier to negociate for an old guy like me. Because the low step is closer to the ground, I made it so it can be folded up, for ground clearance.

Darn it Loren, your ambition shames me. Not only is your tractor going to be like new on the inside, it's going to look like new, even better, on the outside! One gripe I have on my CaseIH rotary combine is the nearly straight up ladder. I have a bad hip now, and that ladder is a challenge.

Looks Good! I like the steps and the lights at the bottom/front of the cab. They both are nice improvements.

Here are the steps I made for the M2...can be unbolted and the original steps put on. Bottom step is on a chain, for when the mud gets deep, and might bend the ladder. Step above it is also hinged. Another step idea is to use 3/4 inch wire rope attached to heavy rubber belting...used on Cat loaders. Other pic shows two steps added to combine rear...no step is beyond a foot from the ground.
