Rock Bucket

Anybody have a rock bucket? After doing some recent tiling there were so many rocks I got a neighbor with his tele-handler and rock bucket to help clean up. His is made of pointed/sharpened rods, with about 2" space in between. Many are bent. For our conditions and purposes the tines are too close. We agreed a 4" space between the tines would be ideal. Some on line searching found many available, but few with that wide spacing. I wondered if anyone on here had experience with rock buckets for farm use.

We have two here. one on the 5250 Maxxum and one on the Case 1845 skid steer. I haven't measured , but think 4" spaceing is about what they are. Once we got the rock bucket for the skid steer the tractor and loader is rarely used any more to pick rock.
Bob, give me a call. My phone craped out and lost your phone #

My friend's is more like six inches. Around here, any less than six inches we throw them back to grow some more.

I have a Bradco rock bucket for the skid loader. I think the spacing is 4", it has the round bars. I wouldn't want to be without it anymore. You can pick rocks all day and not be all bent over and tired out when your done.

Check out Jenkins Iron and Steel in MN. I bought one of their rock buckets, very pleased with my purchase. Well built Family owned!

google skeleton rock buckets. Many local mfgrs here since they became so popular, Thielen Machine, Jenkins, Notch, etc. Most are 3 inch spacing, some intended for brush as well, are 6 inch. Available with/without grapple. Previously, I used a skidloader with manure fork (8 inch spacing, full-length tines) with grapple, and added a 4 inch screen from a rock crusher to get smaller rocks and sift the dirt out. Worked well, but the Notch bucket works way better. About $1100.

I bought one South of Seneca Falls at the iron works owned by the sons of Green Valley welding. Can't remember the name of the place. Mine is three inch and four would be better. Four was an option. Made to fit my John Deere loader.
