Farmall cub converting from magnito to a distributor

Yesterdays Tractor offers a Distributor for a Farmall cub-They say it is to be used when changing over to a distributor. Does anyone know if what they have is all you need to change it over? The kit comes with a distributor and coil. :?: Does anyone have any advice to convert a cub over to a distributor?

Sure. If it is a 6 volt and the coil is 6 volt, all that is needed is a new On Off switch, and wiring from the load side of
the amp meter, to the new switch, then to the coil Negative side, then to the distributor side terminal. The 12 v version
needs a ballast resistor if the coil needs one, or if not, no difference. Jim

Thank you Janicholson. That was fast..
I ordered the distributor and when it comes in I will enjoy the installation.. Thanks again

Call first! I bought one of those kits from YT years ago, had to buy the drive housing separately. I also think it did NOT come with a switch.

Years ago my dad's1940s cub lost mag.
All you need is a coil. The mag has
both points and condenser and
distributor. I removed wire going from
mag coil to points. Used kill wire to
get points connect to negative of coil.
No need to time, as long as you don't
move mag. Mag already has distributor,
so connect coil to center post of
distributor. Piece of cake to do. I did
the wiring when I was in HS. No EE
degree. George
