Hello All;
Does anyone have a trick on how to get the thermostat into the radiator hose of an 8n? A tight fit doesn't even describe how tight it is. All of the knowledgeable folks I am sure has a trick to help.
Thanks,

I think I used a little dish soap and just pushed it in I don't recall it being to hard. I used a tie wrap on the hose to hold it in place.

Are you using a new hose? An old one may be too hard.

Heating it up in some hot water, adding some dish soap will help.

Thank you gentlemen for your ideas. It is a tight fit... One other dumb question, as I understand, the thermostat goes in the upper hose between the radiator (top) and the head. Is that correct, or is it the lower hose?
Thanks again,
