Different kind of farming

Here are several pictures from the Skagit Valley Tulip Farms. These were not taken by me, I downloaded them from the net. I have gone in years past but as I get older instead of calling it the Tulip festival as the locals do, I call it the TRAFFIC FESTIVAL. It is beautiful to see entire fields in bloom. Going on now, the fields are in full bloom. Located in the skagit valley of Washington State, near Laconner/Mount Vernon Wa.

I really like the blonde "flower" in the last picture. LOL Glad the wife rarely reads this LOL

All kidding aside. I would love to see this in real life. It really looks beautiful.

There is a rest areA on i84 out there at the top of a long steep grade on the west bound side. I suggest pulling in for the scenic view if you get out that way.

(quoted from post at 18:16:42 04/03/16) Where's tiny tim?

Haven't thought of him in a long time.......he sure was different!

Wife and I ran into him at an airport once when changing planes.
He was really a big guy.

Just did a little research on Google...he died in '96 at 64.

He and "Miss Vicki" had a daughter they named Tulip.
