Super 99 wheels

When I bought my S-99 I knew the tractor had fluid in the rear tires and there was rust around the valve stems but it was worse than I thought. Someone had widened the rims and the tires were junk---so I took a break from working on my 6 bottom plow and decided to redo the wheels and make me some duals for it. All I saved from the old wheels was the deep rib where it attaches to the casting. I used to widen wheels for tractor pullers so I built this machine to turn the wheels at any speed you want. I take my plasma cutter and cut them apart, then weld them back together with the rim width I need. It is a lot of welding---12 time around by the time I got done. I had a lot of old duals so I just cut out what I need --make one wheel out of two.

I'd like to see some clearer details on the "spinner" you built. Looks like some old combine pulleys, and maybe a jack-shaft from something else. I need to build a spinner for a different project.

It started out as a hydraulic unit of a door opener on a old supermarket. It drives a orbit motor which drives a worm gear off a pump jack which in turn drives the spinner through v-belts and pulleys. The speed is controlled by a quarter turn valve which can by-pass the oil. Basically it is a hydro.

Great idea for turning the wheels/rims.

I always struggle when welding round parts with getting the turning speed right.
