IH 584 Brakes

I've got an IH 584, 1984 version with MFWD and an IH 2250 loader. Great tractor. But my right brake stopped working after I'd had it about 2-3 years (was working great). Pedal goes clear to the floor. I've bled the system per instructions I found on here. That works for about a day, then next day its bad again. Did this several times, same results. If I push both left and right together they both go to the floor. The left brake by itself works great.
My question is...what next? Should I replace/rebuild the front master cylinders? There is some oil leakage in that area. Or do I need to tear into the rear end? How to I tell if it's the master or slave that's leaking?

Thanks for any help.

I have a 584 that had the same malady. I bled the right side brake recently and so far it's OK. I also have an 884 with a loader and often the left brake pedal will go all the way down, but will pump up. I've been told that probably the O-rings on the slave pistons need to be replaced, which is a major job as the entire axle housing has to be removed.

Where the brake line goes into the side of the trans housing, you can rig up a test gauge, shut off valve, fitting, and air line, remove the line off the housing, and attach the tester to the fitting on the housing.Put air pressure to it,and see if it holds pressure(maybe 60 psi).If it holds, your master cylinder is bad,if it does not hold, your brake piston seals are bad (in the axle). Neither job is fun.Mark

I'm really hoping it's not the brake cylinder in the axle! But I need brakes so whatever it is I want to start fixing it.

Thanks.
