I have a 1954 farmall super m that I am currently overhauling, while I am replacing the main bearings, I wanted to replace the rear main seal, however I am having troubles getting the seal retainer in half so I can push the new felt seal in. My question is-1. I can replace that split rear main seal without splitting the tractor correct? 2. If so, how does a guy go about splitting the seal retainer to be able to get access to the seal? Thanks!
