Wards Squire 12

Greetings, I am new to this site. However I sure could use some help. I have restored on my own an old Montgomery Wards SQUIRE 12 tractor. Not at all sure of the year. The unit runs great and has the hydro transmission. Anyway, could someone post a copy of the electrical schematics that might work on my tractor? All I can say is it has a DELCO generator that acts as the starter motor also. It's wired somehow to a voltage regulator with two relays inside. outside there are 3 contacts marked F, BAT, L, then one more on the bottom marked A. I got it so it starts and also replaced the starter solenoid; but it won't charge the battery. Please help!!! Thanx

If you post this in the "garden tractor forum" there are some real knowledgeable guys that are very helpful...

The wires go like this:

A goes to the A (armature) terminal on the starter-generator (SG)

F goes to the F (field) terminal on the SG

L (load) goes to the light switch

B (battery) goes to the ammeter if it has one, otherwise to a live 12 volt connection somewhere.
