OT F-150 Trailer Connection

Want to get a wiring adapter for a 7-way blade to 6-pin round trailer connection. Bought such an adapter, Reese #74645, but it doesn't fit my 2010 F-150 pickup. I thought those were pretty much standard sized, but it's just a little too large for the truck receptacle. Anybody know what number adapter would fit?

That should fit if you have the stock plug on your truck. Are you sure you have it turned right?

yes look close , sometimes the plug is turned 90 degrees from what it seems like it should be ^

Never mind! I just discovered that the receptacle is out of round due to having been struck by some kind of object that bent the steel bracket holding the receptacle. It'll take a bit of straightening work.

I dont know the part number . But the easiest way to slove your problem would be trade that ford in on a GMC youll never have anymore problems. LOL
