92 Chevy diesel

My uncle has a 92 Chevy diesel and needs the fuel heater that goes in the filter housing. Any body have any leads on where to find this or what I'm talking about?

That's a 6.2 in that truck? That is a Stanadyne filter with the biult in fuel heater, I'm surprised it is not leaking. I have a 91 and I eliminated the Stanadyne filter and heater, put a remote filter and the wheel well and it works great. This was the second winter without a fuel heater with no problems.

That's exactly his problem. I would like to know what you used for a filter and what to do with that sensor with the three wires on it?

I just unplugged the wires that went to the filter housing and took the whole thing off. I can get you a picture of the filter setup I have now. It might be tomorrow we are in a blizzard for tonight. Jim

That would be great. Now how about the third line on the filter? Is that some kind of return or just to do with bleeding it off?

My 92 Chevy diesel is a 6.5 with a turbo. Don't tell the Chevy lovers, but my sons 92 Dodge diesel with a Cummins will out pull it any day of the week.

Here's the pic.
