This mercury is, was for towing baggage cars at airports/train yards or goods around factories/warehouses. This one was likely modified at some point in its life(wide front, hydraulics). We had it running when first got it to the yard, thing has power for its size, let clutch out slow still got front up in air with a loader on.

Found this video of what this should be like.

I can get more pictures of industrial machines, though they wouldn't be of the ride on/pull type.

RRlund,That Straight line loader looks good. They must not of loaded gravel with it! LOL. I like the twin 880 also! Greg

I've got a feedlot where that straightline would come in handy, but I'd want to be wearing a rain coat.

You got that right! That just reminded me of my neighbor Eldon 25 years ago. His barrel spreader lids had rotted off and he would take that load on the hill wearing a raincoat and hat. He would come back down the hill covered. My old man told me don't loan him anything! If he borrows a wood wedge I want a $10.00 deposit! That farm was a show place until the 2nd generation took over.

so here's a cple
the 1st pic is the wifes yard cart from when we first got it
it's made by Cushman and came out of large manufacturing plant and was used by the plant electrical crew and has been redone and painted in the last pic you can see what it looks like today

the 2nd pic is my MF 20 TBL that I custom fitted the cab on 2 yrs ago
Just got it out of winter storage on sat and took her for a run

BWM, what kind of engine does that Cushman thing have? A friend of mine bought some land and the junk on it, and there is 2 carts like that, they look JUST like that, I was wondering what the heck they were. The one sets outside, no cab or anything, I didn't really look it over. The other is yellow and has a cab with doors. I looked under the seat and it has some sort of opposed engine, I think it was a 4 Cyl. It sets in a storage container, and it was hard to see in there. He wants to get rid of them, and I think I can get them for almost nothing.

Here's a more unusual one I saw working back in the 1960's. It was a "train" of 3 earth mover pans with 4 engines that ran generators for electric motors to power the wheels. It could back into muck and with all the rest pulling easily pull out. Seems like a good concept, 1 operator running 3 pans, probably a lot of maintenance though. Sorry about the poor picture quality, it's a Poloroid picture.

Whoa! Somebody made this get BIG! I thought I'd check google to see if I could find a better pic of the earthmover "train". Here's a better one of it.

well this one is electric 36v
it's basicly a golf cart just more industial
they are hard to find parts for in Can.
this one had a bad motor in it and I got it for scrap price
then grafted in the drive train from an electric club car golf cart that the frame was broke on it
the wife loves it and uses it to move her gardening things around on
I got it for her as she was always snagging my carryall that you can see in the background of my TLB
usally when I needed the carryall the most so now she has her own toy I might just get her onto a tractor soon but she still needs to know how to use a clutch as she's never driven anything but the carryall and the chushman

as to the one you are talking about I suspect its a cushman truckster sort of like the white one in the pic I included
there are a lot of differant setups of them both body and motor wize
but the trucksters had 2 & 3 cyl motors depending on the setup in both gas and diesel
the yellow one I'm trying to purchase right now has a 3 cyl 22 hp gas motor with a 3 speed trans with a high and low range and from what I've read can do 30 plus mph will post more pics of it if I get it
get some pics if you can I might be able to identify it

Yea sorry, that was me... Apparently we're half using some old custom forum and kinda using phpbb (modern view) but between the two you can't edit your posts...

So remember kids, always hit "preview" before we submit!

I assume these old girls were considered "Industrial" back in their day. Neat old shovel and a big cement mixer. Seen at Mower County Fair last year. Just thought they were cool so had to snap some pics.
