Thieman Tractor

Hello,

I am looking for any information to get a copy of the Thieman Harvester Co. catolog Albert city Iowa.

I am the Great granddaughter of Henry Thieman. My grandmother Burnice Thieman was his daughter. She told us her father was the saleman and usd to jump up and down on the casket to show how sturdy it was.

My grandfather Arvid Peterson was working at the Thieman Harvester Co. that is how they met.

Our family has been to the museum and we have pictures of us on the tractor. We also were fortunate to visit the Thieman farm befor it sold.

Any information on getting copies of the products the co sold would be great. We live in ca.

Thank You,

Tami Schultz

I don't know where there are any catalogs. Best advice I can give is to watch ebay. You can set the search so you will get an email everytime a Thieman tractor is listed. There are two Thieman tractors in the Pioneer Village Museum In Minden Ne.

Another source may be to search the net for "Theiman Tractor clubs" or similar phrases. Then you may be able to get in contact with someone who would sell you brochures or manuals.

I also second the "watch Ebay"... you never know what you may find there.

Here is a link to an article on Theiman tractors in Farm Collector magazine (in case you've not seen it before). Have to copy and paste the link... couldn't get a clickable version to work.

Greatgranddaughter, I'm from Albert City. I can beat the bushes a bit for you. We do have the Thieman display at the Threshing show here. It's too bad Wayne Thieman has passed away. He was a great source of information. Email me at [email protected].

I don't have a catalog but I did find an ad from 1930....you probably have already seen this product but I scanned and attached it.
sorry for some reason it posted the picture twice....

This might be a bit off topic but I got a hog house fan on a stand one day -- got to looking at the stand a little closer and saw the bottom of the stand looked like a steering wheel - sure nuf -- it still had the decal on it -- (THEIMAN) I took it off and sold it to a man from the Kansas City area and his neighbors last name was Theiman -- He was on my place to pick up a 555 massy deisel -- what are the chances?? I live in northwest Iowa so Theiman is a household name around here -- have a good one -- Roy
