Home Improvement on Sand Blaster

Bought this sand blaster from TSC a few years ago.
It worked ok but the syphon hose was very clumsy.
The hose was too long and was difficult to keep in the sand bucket. The sand bucket was too heavy to carry around.
A few years fast forward and several various attempts to improve on it I came up with this version.
The vent tube is a 1/4" copper tubing.
It works very well. I use regular play sand. I screen out the larger rocks with a regular window screen.
It does a nice job cleaning off paint and rust.

The vent tube is to aid in keeping an even flow of sand.
It goes down and enters the suction hose a couple inches.
The probe that came on the end of the hose had one and I kept the same intent.
Works real nice.

Plain play sand can work good but it will kill you-silica poisoning. You could use black slag type.
