9N choke spring

The choke spring on my 9N broke recently. Unfortunately, I had not previously examined and photographed its original condition. I have tried all kinds of installation but cannot find the right way to install the new spring. Does anyone have an image of when is supposed to look like when properly installed? I's driving me nuts and the problem is that I was half nuts before this problem surfaced.

Thanks,

Paul

The external return spring or the spring over the flapper on the choke butterfly?

If it's the external spring, the one on my 8N broke many years ago. Best thing that could have happened.
Now I don't have to keep my hand on the choke button until the engine warms up enuogh so it doesn't meet to
be choked. I just leave it out for a little while until it doesnt need it anymore an then just push it in.
No way would I replace that spring.
