Bad back hay wagon

My new hay wagon. We pick up from the field due to small odd shaped fields. This will save some on the lifting height and the center of gravity. I hate loading bales more than once.

That is cool! That would make a great multi level party wagon too. After the work is done of course......... LOL

I'm gonna think on that a while, a drop deck hayrack. See some good and bad maybe....

Has to be better than this thing I saw on Craigslist a few days ago.

I have thought about a lower deck wagon - somewhat like you're doing. We pick up off the baler now - but my thought was lowering the deck - just to get another row or two of bales on the wagon and still fit in the barn.

So many ideas - so little time....

Nice work - hope you will post some pics of the wagon once in service.

That would never work in the hay fields we have - it would constantly be hung up in the middle while crossing various terraces and waterways.

I hope it works for you. Loading behind the baler like we do, it'd never work. Is the center deck lower by the height of a bale? otherwise it'll be hard to tie in the bales so you don't loose the front section on a slight slope or in a bumpy field.

Not trying to pick you apart, just no way that'd work for us. I am interested to see a load on it when it's being used. How many bales you figure you can put on it? On one of our standard 8'x16' racks, I average around 155.
