Rut Roh! (OT) but pertaining to a previous topic...

SWMBO went to the Surgery Center today for minor surgery. A woman came waltzing in to the waiting room with her "comfort" mutt on a long leash. The dog came over and checked me out. She was very proud of the animal and let everybody know it. I was not pleased.

i just saw a blurb on the local news where humane society was raising cane about south korea eating dogs and had "saved " 400 and shipped them back to the US for adoption, while we kill
thousands in shelters. no-one stops to think about the fact that the more they export the more of a market they create......

Stay home and fix a healthy meal instead of some nasty tattooed druggie fixing the meal for you at a public eating place.Really you'd have way more chance of catching something from the
people working in a lot of restaurants than you would from a dog.

When I was stationed in Germany folks brought their dogs into the Gasthouse's (restaurants) all of the time. They laid on the floors at their feet, didn't run around or such. Then again when I was stationed in Germany it wasn't uncommon for women to walk around with no tops, sometimes with nothing on at all at public ponds, lakes, beaches. None of it bothered me. Decades later, I'm still alive and doing just fine.

Ever see the clips from the hidden cams of the cooks at restaurants scratching their privets, and touch the food after that? Kinda makes ya feel a little puckish! LOL

Accompanied by a link to donate to hsus, if you read it online, I'm sure.

That's how they work. They spend 1% of their proceeds on animals. The rest goes to lobbyists, celebrities, and the CEO 's offshore bank accounts.

Check out humane watch for more on them.

My son is a Chef. He practices Safe Serve protocol at all times. There are really good restaurants and really dirty ones. Local health Departments keep records that are public (if they are on the side of best practices). Jim

When they opened a Ch****le in the nearby town we went to check it out, we would usually stop at one occasionally on the way home from work to grab something fast but the "spend local" concept appeals to us. About 90% were of the type of employee described. She said we are never going back there.
