Can anyone tell me about the hydraulic system on 2424 and what type of fluid to add also to what level should I fill it? Any other information would be great thanks

Go down the page and ask on the IH forum. They will need to know the year and what options the unit came with. The fluid level varies a lot depending on things like power steering or front pump.

Book gives you 2 different capacities, one with front mounted pump and one without. But it was not real clear to me. I finally decided to go with the lower amount - pretty sure it was just 5 gallons. I'll look in my manual tonight and let you know what weight I used.
