I'm rebuilding my AD3.152 and was looking for main and road bearing clearances so that I can check them with Plastigauge. I can't seem to find a Workshop Service Repair Manual on line to purchase that seems to cover this engine. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks, Don

Hello DonJDavis,

A quick search got me to this site jensales since 1989. They have the manual $31.95 403 pages.
Here is the toll free number 1 800 443 0625. Like I said a quick search. Good Luck,

Hi Guido,

Thanks for the information, I did see that information yesterday and have sent them an email but no reply yet. It seems that the manuals cover many engine models so just wanted to confirm that the manual covered the AD3.152 specifically. Thanks, Don

(quoted from post at 18:04:05 03/13/16) Allis Chalmers 160 uses that engine. I likely have a service manual for it, could send you copy of the pages you need.

Hi Jerry, I'm mostly interested in the main and connecting rod clearances for the AD3.152 Perkins, mine is a 1969. I have pulled the engine and stripped it down and now want to plastigauge the bearings to see if I have to replace/machine the crankshaft. I also need to remove the oil pump as it bolts to the first main bearing cap, I have to remove it to torque down the plastigauge. Thanks, Don

Hi I did have a look at that manual but it references the MF230 and MF235, mine is the MF135 so I'm not sure if it's the same AD3.152 that would be in my tractor.

I believe all the AD3,152 engines are the same. I needed a crank for my MF 231. The local MF parts guy had a few used cranks to look through. We found a good one, and I was on my way. the guy wasn't too concerned about numbers on the crank shaft, which led me to believe all the engines are basically the same. Maybe someone has more information? Stan

Hi John Deere D, thanks for the information, I ran into a little bit of snag yesterday, it seems the oil pump is bolted to #1 crankshaft main bearing cap. I haven't removed the front timing/gear cover yet, I was hoping not to have to do that but it appears that I will have to get the oil pump unbolted from the main cap so that I can properly plastigauge that bearing by torqueing the bolts to 110 ft/lbs. There just isn't enough room to unbolt the oil pump without removing the timing cover, bummer. Thanks again , Don
