Old websites

Ever wonder what happens to old websites? You'd think after a while they'd just go down,but apparently not. The old Bob Dole for president site is still active. I wonder how many more sites that haven't been used in years are still floating around out there.

I've gotta go out in a few minutes and drop a couple of round bales in. It's drizzling just enough to look like my coveralls are going to be pretty wet by the time I'm done. Probably mostly where I have to sit back down on the seat after I open gates.

For what Duluth Trading gets for clothes,I can afford a lot of other dry clothes to change in to. lol

I wish they did. There was a long defunct site I used to go to where I shared a mess of test results I'd had. I promptly lost the original paperwork I had and was going to print off what I posted. I procrastinated a few days and without warning the site was closed! I'd love to find that info again, but I've searched 7 ways from Sunday and it's just gone.

Its hit and miss how much of a site is archived, but you can try running it through https://archive.org/index.php if you know the old URL. I have recovered info from a lot of sites that way.

It's been up this long, all it would take to keep it going is for them to keep paying for it.
