Hydraulic Pump, White vs Cyclo

Will the PTO hydraulic pump from a IH Cyclo planter work on a White 5100 planter? I would think that either would work, but not sure, both of them drive a hydraulic motor that spins the fan. Any experiences or guesses? I am trying to sell a 8 row White 5100 that was set up for power beyond ( no pump, uses tractor hydraulics to drive fan) and a guy I work with knows where there is a IH Cyclo pump. Would the IH pump work on the White planter?? Thanks, Chris

Chris you would need to look at the pump/motor size. IH and White very well could use a vary different gallon per minute pump.

I know nothing about the IH planter. My JD vacuum planter has a fan/motor set up very much like the White did, only it's vacuum instead of pressure. Recently, doing some research on this JD planter, I found the pump/reservoir looked identical to the one for the White. I imagine made by the same manufacturer.

I also ran my White from the tractor hydraulic system, even though the pump came with it when I bought it used. I would have bought another White, but the local dealers are all gone. This JD vacuum system doesn't have a cooler on it. You only get the cooler if you have the PTO pump. I just installed a cooler in an effort to keep my tractor hydraulics from overheating.
