Anybody have problems hooking the hydrulics up from an attachment to your skidsteer? Every time we switch from on attachment to another there's so much pressure in the line you can't push the coupling into the other side of the fitting, we have to take the fitting off the attachment drain out the oil and then it will plug in? What are we overlooking? Is there some way to release the pressure so we don't keep having this problem? It's really annoying, there called quick attach couplers but they stink.

my kubota does that, i have to shut it off then work the lever back and forth to equalize the pressure. if it's on the attachment i've had to take a board and give the button a sharp rap to relieve the pressure, just be sure to rap a rag around it to catch the spray.....

same here, when i drop the attachment, i shut the loader down and work the controls to bleed off pressure before unhooking.

on my new unit you have to push the operate button first then shutdown. they fall right out. if not do this sequence they are still tight.

ASV has had a pressure release on it since before 2007. Anyway my 07 had it. What really got me was unhooking in the cold and not getting hooked back up to the attachment until it got HOT. I would have to crack the hoses then.

Yup, on NH skidsteers you gotta work the handle back and forth and bleed the pressure off. Also, on any attachments that aren't hooked to the machine hook the two couplers together. That equalized the pressure in the two hoses and makes them easier to hook up.

I do that with my Deere 7775 also. No need to shut it off when hooking up, tho.

It's a Deere, right? I fought it until I learned the trick. Shut it off. Then turn the key back on and run though all of the hydraulic functions. This is where I would stop on the 323D. It was a mess. Then the techs at the dealership told me to cycle the park brake as well when I had the key back on. BINGO! The park brake holds the pressure to the remotes somehow.

I just bought a backhoe attachment and bought generic ends at the farm store. They are so much easier to couple than the genuine Deere ones. I am going to go buy a generic set for the bale accumulator. It is the worst to hook up. It would take two of us and a rope. No lie.

Gehl 5240e is similar...shut it off, work the controls, leave the key on and connect. I don"t like the flat face couplers, had them on the earlier 4625 and they were difficult.

Shut the engine off and rock (cycle) the lever for the boom hydraulics before you uncouple the hoses so everything is at rest first. If it won't couple when you're hooking up, do the same and hook again...
