Kawasaki Mule

I have a 2006 model 610 Mule with around 1,200 hours. The thing has started blowing oil out the dipstick/filler tube. I can feel it pulse with the engine. Do I have a broke ring? The engine idles smooth. The tube from the fuel pump to the engine is clear. Thanks

Not saying this is it but I had a Kohler doing the same thing before it threw a rod. I had another blow dipsticks when I did not hone the cylinder well. There were metal flakes in the oil. I suspect it was eating the rings. Someone took the vehicle so I never saw inside.

rbuckel,
Difficult for a Dr to tell you over the phone what's wrong with you, same here. It could be rings. It could be condensation and when it gets hot the steam blows things out dipstick hole. Bad rings might allow some blow by, putting moisture in crankcase.

A redneck test. Remove dipstick. Slip a clear plastic hose over dipstick tube. Run hose to cab. Put a rag over hose. This will act as a Crank case vent. If rag gets full of oil, change it. Might be too much of a vent and then your vacuum operated fuel pump won't work.

post back with your findings. geo
