The music for that movie was played for the Graduation Day Parade when I finished basic training at Ft. Jackson,S.C. Army basic training. Now when ever I hear it I think of the 100* sun and all the standing at parade rest for hours and finally hearing some one holler. "pass in review"! Those words were music to the ears of all us poor grunts standing there and sweating it out while the big brass rambled on. Then came the mile long lap around the parade field just to pass the reviewing stands and then we were finished. Not the happiest day until we cleared post in the late afternoon and I shipped out To Ft. Campbell, Ky where it was cooler.

Watched an old "Wagon Train" rerun last week, was surprised to see Abbott in it playing a serious part. That just didn't seem right. Whose on first, what's on second, I don't know on third....
