Growin' Green onions inside during Winter....

I bought a bag of Green onions last fall. Only clipped the green tops off to where it meets the white stem. Then I placed them in a glass of water.

They continue to grow and you just keep cutting off what you need.

I had posted a few weeks ago about growing leaf lettuce indoors during the Winter but, I forgot about the Green onions.

You may even see the dried edges from the previous cuts on the top of the stems..

I was really satisfied with the results of trying to grow lettuce and onions indoors during Winter while using florescence tubes as a light source.

I know I have posted the 'Leaf lettuce" pic before, but here is pics of both.....

Forgot to add...The onion bulbs are just kept in a glass with water added plus a small amount of
12-12-12.

Dang! I wish I could "edit" that!

"I bought a bag of Green onions last fall. Only clipped the green tops off to where it meets the
white stem. Then I placed them in a glass of water.".... I didn't place the Green tops in the
water to grow. I put the remaining bulb/stem in the glass of water to grow.
