Do I have a problem????

What you sell and buy? My guess just a common case of old or farm iron fever(therefore like addiction), where the only problem is figuring out where to go with the new additions to the collection, especially if you got rid of the tractors to make room.

good 40 yr old tractors that are proven, tried and true are a steal these days in my area ...about the only tractor that has not gotten soft is a 4020 in excellent condition , ruf , they can be a bargain , if?,,.. there are not a lot of issues that muther deer will eat your wallot with your az still in it ... .in recent yrs , I have been able to find field ready 430-5-and 630 CASE diesels ,,.because they were not excellent condition and had battle scars that were healable,,. I was pleased with what I got them for,,. trouble is ,,. I like you , JD, traded off 2 tractors and ended up with 3 ,,. my wife says it is an addiction , I call it smart business, especially when you consider what the bank pays on cd's and what I can polish and doll my old gasser Case tractors up in a wedding dress to fetch a nice price,.and therefore make some real money ..

None of these are collecting type of tractors. I sold a JD 4440 and a JD 7810. I bought a JD 4755, 4455 and 4255. I say I am going to turn around and sell them but I am partial to the 55 series JD tractors. They are pretty bullet proof for a lot of jobs on the farm. They can just about be 100% repaired without many specialty equipment from JD, IE COMPUTER program.

I am looking to buy a 4450 MFWD but waiting for the prices to soften up some. What are you seeing, are prices staring to slide to the favor of the buyer in the corn belt?

Al the tractors with higher hours and rougher appearance are slipping some but the good clean used is not off by much. Now this is the under $50K stuff. The under $25K stuff actually was just as high or higher today. You can get a good 607K hour JD 4450 MFWD in the mid $30K range now.

Like you I have got a couple of tractors that should find a new home. With the money from them and a little cattle sales I would like to own the 4450. Have a White 2-135 series III, but it is just not green. Been waiting for the pendulum to swing so my dollar will go farther. Hard to go buy something you don't NEED, just WANT. Always loved the feel of the sound guard cab. Bet today you sat tall in the seat on the way home. Great tractors to invest in. Almost bomb proof.

Long as you buy low and sell high you can never go wrong. Let your emotions and / or nostalgia get in the way and you could be answering to the "boss".

JD Seller please don't let that happen to me this month as I am trying to sell 3 tractors and really want to reduce some of my inventory. I am selling a sharp IH Super H stage 2 and a pretty nice JD 4020 1970 looks and runs very good and a IH 666 tractor that runs great but its time to thin out my herd.

just curious why you go back in years 7810 sell bring back 44series i sold my last tractor last fall 4450 mfwd 37500.00

yea i know a guy that told his wife i sold a tractor. what he didn't tell was he took 2 on trade.
