We've started here in s.e. Mt.. It's been dry - too dry, warmer than normal. A couple small 'showers' stopped me, but should be able to start in again today.

The BTOs have been 'farmin' for a week or 10 days.Just last eveving I disked cornstalks with the 706 and 15' Oliver disk.Next week the 'old 12' will turn it upside down.

Thinkin about is all we can do here in SE Iowa.

We have an inch of new snow this morning on a foot of frozen ground.

Afraid the tillage tools won't go in the ground here.

Few more weeks here.

I don't even want to think about it. I work every year, looking forward to it being over. No hurry to start another one.

I'm with Randy, seems like I just finished. Not chomping at the bit to start all over again. It will get here soon enough. Nice tractor, by the by. Mine is just like it exceptin there is a "5" in there somewhere.

When we get a warm day it makes a guy start lookin around at equipment. With a few upgrades in tractors and equip. it seems to be easier and faster each year.....looking forward to get going but probably be a month yet.

I'm getting the old JD4430 going as fast as I can. I'm doing a complete in-frame on it. Been over to the JD board some to get advise several times.

Here's some pics from two years ago. I was putting in a combine engine and replacing the quadrange.

I was thinking about going out and looking at my tillage equipment and seeing if I needed to order some parts but my get up and go got up and went.
I just need some warmer weather to melt the snow so that I can see what I may need. Happy farming.

It's had a loader on it since around the 1960s. It's one of the last 125 B's built and came from factory with a C block with the place to mount hydraulic pump in it. The last overhaul it had the fire crater kit put in it and it has plenty of power. You have to be careful loading dirt because it will lift more than tractor was designed for but you learn what the tractors limits are.

I bought the RC back in the late 60's for $25.00. It needs a gas tank. The one that's on it had bottom of tank rusted out so I bolted a ATV tank up inside. Hopefully I will find a good tank or one that is good enough so it can be lined.

I imagine those guys(don't know the name) that farm on the west side of the highway just south of Delta are getting after it? They are usually some of the first ones to get going.

It's a 1953 Ford F350, flat head V8 with 28,000 actual miles. It needs some brake work and a pare of exhaust pipes and a good wash job. These are the only pictures I have in computer (not very good).
