Like Colombo, just one more thing.

I'm working on making the pins for tractor shows colored White. I want to make them stand out and easily noticed. I'm also considering starting the names with a one(1) so they will be at the top of the list and again easily found.
 

THANKS for taking the time to do this ..... it"s been fun looking around where someone lives ..

Doing the " shows " in a different color will be great and easy to find ....

I just tried to post the Penfield Show like I did my own and must have misqued. The web is antiquefarm.org and the show is Jul 7-10, 2016 by I & I with the feature tractor this year Case.
 
Anyway to put a key at the bottom of the map so it is easy to figure out what the different colors of the pins means?

Also, have you given any consideration as to how to remove the shows from the map when the date is in the past?

Speaking of dates, would it be possible to put the date in the title for the show pins?

Just some thoughts, this map is a great idea.

I don't have the ability to to make any modifications to the map other then to the pins and some access changes. As for dates I'd have to go in and make the changes manually, so I'm making sure the website available is in the description.

tart the numbering with 01 or 001, etc. what ever is appropriate. If start with 1 it will go 1, 11, 12, etc. to 19, the go 2, 20, 21, etc. Computers don't think like people.
 
I'm starting all the shows with 01 so its 01 MMOGTA and 01 Florida Flywheelers .....

This puts all the shows at the top for a quick view. Unless someone starts their handle with 01, then the idea flys out the window.

Also I've now made all the shows pins white for easyier viewing on the map.

Just playing around with a different (test) map I created. Looks like if you click on the 'Map' tab, and then go down to legend, you are add a key for the different pin colors, and give users the option of what they can see.

I just did a quick test, so I may be misunderstand what is going on.

How about 002 for tractor salvage yards, We get dozens of posts looking for them. I can send you 6. And tractor museums.? Maybe a new map for that stuff? Salvage red, museums blue, Major tractor repro and nos parts stores? Like Steiners,
 
Most shows will have links that give the dates,
address, and years feature. We get offseason
visitors at Junkshow pert near year round. So I think
leaving the pins in is worth while.
 
I'm not sure of the websites but Mt.Vernon, Ind has the Keck- Gonerman show in August every year and there is the Pinckneyville, Il show also in Aug every year, Keck is usually 1st weekend and P-ville 3rd weekend I think.
