Hi All I am wondering if anybody has changed from points to EFI?. I have put new points in and i think the loabes on the shaft are wore. I get 25 point gap for one and maybe the rest are different. so new distributor is around 200, And kit for EFI 140, or so. Thanks for any input. Dan

Likely the distributor shaft bushing is worn.

One of the GOOD things about retro-fit EI units is that they are not as sensitive to such wear as points.

You can get the kit from this very site starting at $88.52 and up, depending upon battery voltage.
Yt parts

You will always have some variance lobe to lobe due to wear.
Much like timing an engine where you start by static timing it to the marks, then fine tune it with a timing light.
Your points you set static with a feeler gauge then fine tune with a dwell meter.
Set the dwell before you set the timing.
