There's the first inch!

Rain turned to snow about 8:30 AM. Coming down fairly steady now. At least I have a tractor here now so I can push this one off the driveway. If it keeps coming down thru tomorrow it ought to be a fair accumulation.

Well, bummer! Once we finally get snow I ain't ready for it! Just pulled the engine from the newest snowmobile. Guess I'll be going to friends house to fetch one for the next 3 days.

I busted butt to get feed ground before it started. I had a load and a half the needed to be shoveled out of the bottom of a crib before it got buried in snow. I was just coming around to start the second load when it started spitting a little bit. By the time I got it all shoveled out and finished up the second load out of a new crib,it was coming down pretty good. The grass isn't covered yet,but it won't take long the way it's coming down.

I just came in from getting ready for the so called big one. Put the snow blower on back of tractor, put snow pusher bucket on the front and fueled it up. Bedded down the cattle, and got 20 gallons of gas for backup generator.
I couldn't think of anything else fun I had to do so I guess now I HAVE go back to working on taxes.

Guess we are getting off easy. Here, at 11 am Wed. it is just a light rain, and still above freezing. More to come, though...

It switched to snow around 7:30 down here, the hay field is just about covered, the pavement seems to have melted down first, but is all white now. I put the plow back on front of the truck and nestled the truck in the barn. I got the septic tank opened up for the clean-out crew, and should be sleeping now to get ready for work tonight.

As of 1:00pm, snowing lightly here. Started about noon. Maybe half an inch so far. Wife & I hurried up and did all outside chores, morning and afternoon this morning, so only evening chores left but they're all inside. So far nothing impressive.

Here in west Michigan only about an inch so far and hardly no wind. I do not think we are going to get all the snow & wind they have been predicting.....

You would not be using your snowmobile here today . The snow turned into slush after the rain began. I will be plowing slush tomorrow here on the Can/AM border in northern NY.
