My daughter wanted me to install a brake controller on her Chevy Suburban. I wired it just like the directions said. Mounted the controller under the dash. Hooked up her horse trailer, and everything worked. In times past when the controller wiring needed to be run under the vehicle. what a pain. Then the first time nothing worked. break out the trouble light. Those were the days. Don't know when auto manufactures added trailer wiring, but it was a good idea.Stan

I put one of those on my '14 Silverado. Very simple, just plug and go!

Hardest thing was finding a place to mount it, finally screwed it to the bottom of the ash tray, which never gets used anyway.

I installed a 7 wire plug with brakes on my pickup.

Brake controller just plugs in under dash.
Crawl under rear of truck and unplug the wires going to the tail lights and plug a T in between the 2 ends of the plug.
Done
No splicing; no hunting the right wire; no running a extra wire for the brakes.
Sure makes it easy.
