how heavy are cast wheels?

I have a 1937 JD A with cast rear wheels. I'm wondering how much weight I'll trim if I switch to pressed steel wheels. I've looked online and haven't been able to find any info on weight of cast wheels with 10x38 rim. I was hoping to trim about 500 lbs total.

Thanks

I don't know for sure, but I have always had the belief that those cast centers were around 300# each.

I always wondered if that was both or only one. I always thought a cast wheel would be more than a hundred twenty five pounds heavier than the pressed steel. 46 & 49 B 7 51 A had cast wheels. The 38 A was cut down flat spokes.

I have handled the wheel weights, both inner and outer. It still seems to me the difference per wheel between the pressed steel wheel and the cast wheel would be more than a 125# that the book seems to indicate is the difference per wheel between the pressed steel and the cast.

I have a couple of cast centers I use for extra weight on the yard drag when needed and they are at least 250 each. When I roll them they are throwing me around whileI try to keep them upright.
