OT I may be in trouble

I was supposed to report to Jury duty this week, assumed that court house was closed today, do not know if it was. The clerk of court only posts instructions on answering machine from 5:00 Friday to 8:00 Monday, so I can not check now.

Will just plan to show up and ask tomorrow.

Wouldn't suprise me if the judge want's to give you more than he give's the defendant. Naa you'll be fine,just call the jury clerk.

Know what kind of bird don't sing? A jail bird!
You'll probably be ok, I'm not sure if the courthouses were open today or not, but the post office was open.

here if you miss a juror appointment the court will come and get you so it wasn't open today is the answer .

I just texted my lawyer, court was not open today, so I am OK there.

The instructions say to call the number between 5:00 Friday and 8:00 Monday, but they do not play the recording any other time, so SOL if you do not get it then

I am just planning to show up at clerk of court.

I forgot about going in once 14 years ago,,the judge at the time had "No" sense of humor,,If I didn't have a "Good" excuse I was going to have to do 3 days in jail,,Not kidding here,,,so I was working the next day for an ER doctor at the local hospital and told him I needed a favor,,He said get my 4010 running and I will write you an excuse and back it up when they call..That bailed my butt out of a jam...Some places take it rather seriously...

Glad that worked out for you today. My last call to jury duty was a federal case
downtown Atlanta, was not called and released from service after three days.
The local county jury duty worked out almost the same released after three days. On one case I told them I knew the defendant, had talked to him before at our local gun store. The other case was a product liability, When questioned, told the attorney I thought people should read the directions that came with the products before using them. Could see him take a big black marker and crossed my name off. Enjoy yourself, a lot of interesting people there. J

I got to go tomorrow to Madison for the federal jury . They have a website to check your status and I'm still on the list I've probably got at least 2 phone calls and I don't know how many emails plus letters . Worrying about traffic etc glad when it's over. Last week I was also supposed to do jury duty at the county court and they sent a letter not to show.
