Picture from mid to late 1950s

Here is a picture of my mom and dad on dad's 1950 ZAU MM. The picture was taken in about mid to late 1950s. He bought the tractor new. It was originally a slide but was able to take a picture through a viewer with my digital camera. Have a few others I will post sometime.

Yes we do. Half way between the house and the shop. I still have it. Hope to get it restored one day. Spent a lot of hours on it. Was the first tractor I learned to drive.

It was the only new one he ever bought. About 20 or 25 years ago when him and I were going through some old calendar slips we ran across the bill of sale and cancelled check from when he bought it. $2300 with hydraulic.

Any ideas about the hat he is wearing? Looks like a pilots hat or military dress. Neat picture!

I've seen a number of pictures from that era where guys are wearing that style of hat. My guess is it that was popular due to the War.

Not sure about the hat. He was in Korea for 2 years in the Army. I think CenTex Farmall may be correct.
