valentines day

Valentines Day! 13 years ago when Dixie and I were married she ask me if I truly loved her. I told her yes! Not good enough, she then ask, will you love me for ever? I gave her the most truthful answer I could give, I just told you I truly loved you and if anything changes I will tell you. Nuff said? This morning when she presented me with a beautiful card and a heart felt letter and she ask again, all that was needed was, Have I said anything has changed? She then fixed me a great breakfast and served it with tearful glee. What a great day Valentines Day is! Makes me think I should check the internet for something nice to say to her before days end. ;)

Lobster dinner tonight. Actually, the to-go box remainders of the Lobster Feast at Red Lobster on Friday night, which was our 45th anniversary. We're a cheap date. She doesn't like candy and thinks flowers are a waste of money, so we go out to eat for most holidays.

plow hand,

I'm sure glad to hear that it was chocolates and romance for you and your the wife. For a second there when I read the topic, "Valentine's Day", I was afraid that you were going to wish us, me a Happy Valentine's Day. I feel much, much, much better now that you didn't. I got my better half flowers and chocolate and now I'm eagerly awaiting romance. I even took a shower, shaved, and put on some cologne. Today, I plan on getting me some...romance.

What a wonderful Valentines here in Delaware, been married 26 years today. I love her more than ever, mutual feelings of both parties. Kids are grown and out on the own, both luckily with great jobs. My best friend, my wife, just lounging around today with the bitter cold we are experiencing, even stayed home from church. With me being 50 and her 48 I think we have made a great accomplishment, not many marriages last a long period of time these day. It's really quite a shame, John.

She's been my best pal since 10/22/77.
She's diabetic so no Chocolate, just cards & I got her another plant to kill.....

Very nice Valentine's day here also. Wife cooked up a wonderful steak dinner for the two of us. Best wife a guy could ask for. Hopefully we keep getting along as I got her a new .308 for woodchucking this year.

This morning I gave my wife a big hug and wished her a Happy Valentines Day. She looked at me and said "I didn't get you a card". I said I forgot to get you one. Her response was "That's ok, they are a waste of money". I stopped buying her flowers/roses 20 years ago.

We went out tonight for steak and lobster.
