Can anybody tell me what my model a ford is worth?

Hello, I know this is for tractors but you guys are incredibly helpful and everybody has an opinion. I picked up a 1915 model T and and 1929 model a ford. Somebody told me that the 29' is a somewhat rare car since it's a "blindback steel back". I don't really have enough experience with model A's to say. So does anybody have an idea what this old A is worth? It's all original, 2 owner car, engine is loose, the interior is kinda ratty but not bad. It's all there and it has a manifold heater. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Circle K,

I can't help much in pricing, rather offer some tidbit of advice...the wooden spoken vehicle should have the straps released when you get to your destination, the tension may cause out-of-round wheels.

circle k, You really don't care what that model A is worth! You just wanted to show off, the nice antiques you acquired, and make some of us jealouse. Rightfully so. Well it worked! nice find.

Hey guys thanks for the comments. I really do care what the model A is worth. Haha. When I got home, I cleaned up the buzz boxes on the model T, and put a little fuel in it. Started right up and was able to drive it around the yard even. The A does need a little more work but hopefully I can get it running soon. Also, thanks for the tip on taking the straps off of the T. I was able to get home and remove them right away. I will keep that in mind for the next time I haul one as that's something I never thought of. Thank you!

Circle K,

That "tip" of removing tension was not earned by me, rather, there's a collective group of auto enthusiasts that made a modern mistake on an antique auto.

Glad to pass their wisdom to someone else.

Get the Model A off the trailer, clean it up, get it running, and post several pictures with enough light and detail to actually see something. Then we'll be a little better able to give you an answer.

My Dad in law always said --it aint worth nothing unless ya sell it --LOL -- the last model-A I sold I got 6500 for it --painted and new everything -- int. wheels tires the works -- drove it to Colorado Springs from NW iowa and flew home -- nice trip --so is it for sale ? or you looking to see what a deal ya got?

I've been thinking about selling the model a to fund the model T restoration as I already have another A that belonged to a family member. I agree with you 100 percent about it's not worth anything unless it's sold haha. I guess I was more curious as to what it's worth, and let that be a deciding factor if I'm going to sell it or not. So I guess you could say I have split decisions on it right now

A couple of Model A boards that can probably answer your question, as well as drum up a little interest in a fairly rare body type.
Ahooga

I wonder what you do with a car like that. Not many of us have a museum to stick it in. The way people drive today it would be criminal to take it out on the streets.

I drive my Ford Model 'A" cars a lot in the summer and I have not seen any danger in that.
I would guess that your 29 Ford is worth about $5000 or less because it would need a lot of reconditioning. I have 4 model A ford cars that I reconditioned and it takes a lot of time and money. If you decide to keep that car I would suggest that you do only those mechanical things that need to be done to make it a safe driver, brakes, lights and tires, and enjoy driving it around. Try to keep it out of the ,hands of the hot rodders.

I saw one sell in ohio last summer. A 4 door convertible with good interior. It sold for 5500.

You must drive in a lot better place than me. I live in the Dallas area and have been hit three times in the last six months. This doesn't count yesterday where I was rear ended but it didn't leave any damage.
