Dresser 510B Loader

I've been searching on the ole interweb for specs on a Dresser 510B loader, and can't find a darn thing. Anyone know the specs on the engine or hydraulic system? I found one for sale and was wondering about it. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I know vary little about them , most were powered with a 400 sires I H diesel as to GPM and pressure i have no idea . They were in the 1 1 /2 - 2 yd machines class ran a 515 years back at one of the small strip mines that we use to haul out of as many places like that were selfservice loading and that one had about a 4 yd bucket on it . It was ok but could have had a little more lifting hight to it . Took a bit getting use to it with as we called it riding the bucket . But it was nice to have a newer machine to work with that everything worked . You pulled in backed up to the pile climbed into the loader and load and go and have BRAKES that really did work . Brakes on a loader are a good thing to have as we did not have to find a spot to park the trucks where you loaded going up hill and hope that you can hold it while you were dumping that bucket into the trailer and not crashing into the side of the trailer. while looking at a used loader always go with a buddy and the things to check are BRAKES ( top of the list) center pins all gears in the transmission and torque converter to see if it will spin the wheels in first while digging into a pile , Then look for leaks and if the cylinder will hold a load in the air.

Can't help you on the hydraulics,but it is powered by a 3.9L 4 cylinder Cummins

The older 65's used on the early ones had the DT 361 and the later ones used the DT 407's. as to GPM and pressure i have no idea . Oh i guess i was wrong on engines then i thought they were still usen the 300-400 IH's .

I have an engine out of a 520 B for my 826, it is a DT358.
