A couple of unusual paint jobs. Some silver and gray tractors, including an actual Gray. A few Minnies. The first one's from an inverted slide,so things are on the wrong side. A cream colored Cockshutt.
White American series tractors in all four colors. Oliver/White Heritage tractors in red. White Spirit of Oliver tractor in Oliver green. Yellow Oliver double 880.
And of course no unusual paint series would be complete without EJ Potter's Double Ugly, known to have never had any paint at all.

Ya,he really ticked'em off at the Nationals when he put an umbrella on the smaller Ugly Tractor, wrapped his rain coat around it for a to catch an oil leak and won the national championship.

Is that an Allison aircraft engine in the Double Ugly? First time I heard one roar to life I had goose bumps. It just sounds powerful.

Loren Being a Moline guy I could not park it in with those cases I would have to put them out "behind the barn"!!!

they were all great ideas,,,it should be intreresting all together...thanks for the ideas,,,get some rust ready for sms tomorrow night!

I'll have to run out to the shed after work tomorrow with the camera, the letter series I posted a few times. Time for something new, maybe the F-20 or what ever I can find in that or the other shed.

Ya,if I have that picture captioned right, that one's the W24. It had four rows of six in a W formation instead of a V12 with two rows of six. He had three tractors. The little tractor, the one with an Allison V12 that he pulled in the 5000 pound class,Ugly Tractor with a V12 that he pulled in the heavier classes and Double Ugly with the W24. I think the one in the picture says Big Ugly, maybe what he called Double Ugly first.

When he won the national championship with the umbrella and the rain coat, the promoters had T-shirts made for all the drivers, with their name and town and state on the back. He was EJ Potter from Ithaca Mi. His shirt said EJ Porter,Ithaca Mn. He wore it to all the local pulls for luck that next summer since he'd been wearing it when he won the championship.

(quoted from post at 17:46:52 02/09/16) Ya,if I have that picture captioned right, that one's the W24. It had four rows of six in a W formation instead of a V12 with two rows of six. He had three tractors.

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, I remember when he came down to the Berrien County 4-H Fair with Ugly and Double Ugly...pretty sure he had a pony motor starting setup with an old snowmobile motor, belt, and a 2X4 with the idler pulley to roll the big engine over- true farm engineering, but those Allisons sure ran top notch!

This one caught my eye at the Carsten Family Farm Show near Shelby Iowa. I talked with the owner last September. It was a White, needed paint, he is a huge MM fan, so, as they say, the rest is history!
